The Shoe Finder helps you find your next running shoe. Instead of scrolling an endless list, it draws on the built-in catalog — real specs for 755 models from 41 brands — and narrows it to the shoes that match what you’re actually looking for.
What it recommends on
The Shoe Finder combines what you want with what the app already knows about your running:
- The kind of shoe you’re after — the type of running shoe you want to search for, matched against the catalog’s specs (foam, stack, drop, plate, surface, and more).
- Your rotation’s gaps — the run types your rotation is still missing, so it can suggest a pair that rounds it out.
- Your ratings — how you’ve scored the shoes you own (more below).
- Your favorite brands — the brands you’ve marked as favorites.
The result is a short, personal shortlist instead of a wall of options.
Rate your shoes to make it personal
You can rate your shoes for comfort, fit & stability, and durability — and note whether you’d buy them again. Those ratings sync with iCloud and feed straight back into the Shoe Finder, so the more you rate, the more its recommendations reflect what actually works for you.
Favorite brands
Mark your favorite brands — in the catalog or in Settings — to filter the catalog by them and see them recommended more often. It’s a quick way to keep the suggestions in the brands you already trust (or want to try).
Why it matters
Choosing a new running shoe is overwhelming because there are hundreds of good options and no easy way to tell which fits you. The Shoe Finder turns the whole catalog into a handful of candidates matched to your preferences and your rotation — and when a current pair is on its way out, Find a Replacement (part of Premium) does the same thing aimed at a specific shoe.
