Rotation suggestions answer the everyday question — “which shoes today?” — for each type of run. Instead of always grabbing the same pair, Shoe Health points you to the one that makes the most sense right now, so the load is shared across your rotation. This is a Premium feature.

What it does

For each run type, Shoe Health highlights the pair that’s the best choice at that moment and shows a confidence score from 0 to 100. A higher score means the pair is a better pick — rested, in good shape, and well suited to the run.

What the suggestion takes into account

The score rolls several things into one number:

  • How recently each pair was used and whether it’s had time to rest.
  • How worn it is — a pair nearing the end of its life is deprioritized.
  • How well it suits the planned run (its assigned run types).
  • Your default-shoe choice, when you’ve set one.

So a rested, lightly worn pair that fits the run is suggested ahead of one you ran in yesterday or one close to retirement.

A helpful pointer, not a rule

The percentage is there to make the choice easy at a glance — it’s guidance, not a statistical probability or a command. Listen to how your body and your shoes feel, too; you’re always free to pick a different pair. Rotating between pairs is associated with good habits and shared load, but it’s not a guarantee against injury — see the shoe rotation guide for what the evidence does and doesn’t show.

Why it matters

The hard part of a rotation isn’t owning several pairs — it’s actually alternating between them instead of defaulting to a favourite. Rotation suggestions make the better choice the easy one, using your real mileage and wear rather than guesswork.
